Lee Baggett Announces New track - “Zipper Ride” From Up Coming Album: “Echo Me On” - Perpetual Doom

Lee Baggett’s contagiously swinging melodies and intoxicating rhythms are nothing new to his listeners both old and new. He’s a legend within his craft and among the locals. A superior student in lifestyle and art. His music is a celebration of life, the bountiful history of the “vibe”, and above all - songwriting. Having worked with the likes of Little Wings (Kyle Field), Fever Tree with his brother Ted and Japanese based musician Blind Dead Timmy, Lee has created an entirely unique world on his own for both his audience in music as well as his visual art. With the release of last years already classic album, “Anyway” on Perpetual Doom, Lee is back with another exciting body of work from the Doom Crew entitled “Echo Me On”. This is what he has to say about the record: "Starting with the idea of a piano based record as the third stage link with the Just a Minute and Anyway records, this was made with the same basic ingredients-which is meet by the sea for a couple days, catch a wave, set up the mics and record while learning the song. This was achieved. The formula being altered a bit with more crew members and some precision mixing chamber operations."

We are thrilled to premier the newest track: “Zipper Ride” as we transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas, which some would argue is a carnival ride in itself. Accompanied by folks such as the Zaitz brothers and producer/musician Cory Gray, Lee was in good hands as he crafted this splendid Frankenstein of metaphysical hip-hop verses and Californian sidewalk jazz. This limited edition LP, set to release on the 22nd of December, is an ode to sensation and the unique separation of the skull and brain. A twisting concussion of memory and thought. A Gary Snyder fever dream with just the perfect amount of late night commercials and sensory deprivation snacks. Baggett’s music is an eccentric ecosystem of poetic friends, colorful characters and cartoon poetry readings from hysterically invisible entities. “Echo Me On” is a perfect collection of tunes to enter a new year. A New life.
